Ingredients
| 1 cup | sticky rice |
| 1 cup | grated coconut |
| 1 cup | jaggery |
| 1 cup | water |
| 1 pinch | salt |
Instructions
- 1 Wash the sticky rice thoroughly and soak it in water for at least 30 minutes.
- 2 Drain the soaked rice and steam it until fully cooked, about 20 minutes.
- 3 In a separate pan, dissolve the jaggery in 1 cup of water over medium heat to make a syrup.
- 4 Add the grated coconut to the jaggery syrup and mix well.
- 5 Combine the steamed rice with the coconut-jaggery mixture and stir until well blended.
- 6 Add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness and mix again.
- 7 Serve warm or at room temperature.
Tips
Ensure the jaggery is fully dissolved before adding the coconut for a smooth texture.
