Ingredients

1 cup sticky rice
1 cup grated coconut
1 cup jaggery
1 cup water
1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Wash the sticky rice thoroughly and soak it in water for at least 30 minutes.
  2. 2 Drain the soaked rice and steam it until fully cooked, about 20 minutes.
  3. 3 In a separate pan, dissolve the jaggery in 1 cup of water over medium heat to make a syrup.
  4. 4 Add the grated coconut to the jaggery syrup and mix well.
  5. 5 Combine the steamed rice with the coconut-jaggery mixture and stir until well blended.
  6. 6 Add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness and mix again.
  7. 7 Serve warm or at room temperature.

Tips

Ensure the jaggery is fully dissolved before adding the coconut for a smooth texture.
