Ingredients

Sticky Rice 1 cup Sticky Rice
Pork 200 grams Pork , cut into small pieces
Ginger 1 tablespoon Ginger , finely chopped
Garlic 1 tablespoon Garlic , finely chopped
turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
black pepper powder 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
salt 1 teaspoon Salt
water 2 cups Water
mustard oil 1 tablespoon Mustard oil
Cilantro Cilantro , fresh, for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1 Wash the sticky rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  2. 2 Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. 3 Add chopped ginger and garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
  4. 4 Add the pork pieces to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  5. 5 Add turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and salt to the pan, stirring well to coat the pork.
  6. 6 Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan, stirring to mix with the pork and spices.
  7. 7 Pour in 2 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  8. 8 Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
  9. 9 Once done, fluff the rice gently with a fork and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.

Tips

For an authentic taste, ensure to use mustard oil and adjust the spices to your preference.
