Ingredients
| 1 cup | black sesame seeds |
| 1 cup | peanuts |
| 1 cup | grated jaggery |
| 1/2 cup | desiccated coconut |
| 1/4 cup | ghee |
| 1 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| 1 pinch | salt |
Instructions
- 1 Dry roast the black sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat until they start to pop, then set aside to cool.
- 2 In the same pan, dry roast the peanuts until golden and aromatic, then let them cool.
- 3 Grind the cooled sesame seeds and peanuts separately into a coarse powder using a food processor.
- 4 In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sesame seeds, ground peanuts, grated jaggery, desiccated coconut, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt.
- 5 Heat the ghee in a small pan until melted, then pour it over the mixture in the bowl.
- 6 Mix everything thoroughly until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture holds together.
- 7 Shape the mixture into small, round balls using your hands, pressing firmly to ensure they hold their shape.
Tips
Ensure the jaggery is finely grated to help it blend well with the other ingredients.
