Ingredients
| 1 cup | chopped jaggery |
| 1 cup | water |
| 1 cup | mixed nuts (cashews, almonds, peanuts) |
| 1 cup | dried coconut pieces |
| 1 cup | puffed rice |
| 1 cup | chopped dates |
| 1 tablespoon | ghee |
| 1 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| 1 pinch | salt |
Instructions
- 1 Heat a pan and dry roast the mixed nuts until golden, then set aside.
- 2 In the same pan, dry roast the dried coconut pieces until lightly browned and set aside.
- 3 Heat ghee in the pan, add the chopped jaggery and water, and stir until the jaggery melts completely.
- 4 Continue cooking the jaggery syrup on low heat until it reaches a thick, sticky consistency (soft ball stage).
- 5 Add the roasted nuts, coconut pieces, puffed rice, chopped dates, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt to the jaggery syrup.
- 6 Mix everything thoroughly until all ingredients are well coated with the jaggery syrup.
- 7 Grease a plate with ghee and transfer the mixture onto it.
- 8 Flatten and press the mixture evenly using a greased spatula.
- 9 Allow it to cool and set for about 15-20 minutes.
- 10 Cut into desired shapes and serve.
Tips
Ensure the jaggery syrup reaches the correct consistency to help the mixture bind well.
