Ingredients
| 1 cup | peanuts |
| 1 cup | jaggery |
| 1 cup | dry coconut |
| 1/2 cup | poppy seeds |
| 1/2 cup | sesame seeds |
| 1/2 cup | ghee |
| 1/4 cup | cardamom powder |
| 1/4 cup | raisins |
| 1/4 cup | cashew nuts |
Instructions
- 1 Dry roast the peanuts on medium heat until golden brown and let them cool. Remove the skins and coarsely crush them.
- 2 Grate the dry coconut and roast it lightly until aromatic.
- 3 Dry roast the poppy seeds and sesame seeds separately until they start to splutter.
- 4 In a pan, heat ghee and fry the cashew nuts and raisins until golden brown. Set aside.
- 5 In the same pan, add jaggery and a little water to make a thick syrup. Test by dropping a little syrup in water; it should form a soft ball.
- 6 Mix the roasted peanuts, coconut, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts, and raisins into the jaggery syrup.
- 7 Stir the mixture well until all ingredients are coated with the syrup.
- 8 Grease a plate with ghee and spread the mixture evenly. Allow it to cool slightly.
- 9 Cut into desired shapes and let it cool completely before serving.
Tips
Ensure the jaggery syrup reaches the right consistency to bind the ingredients well.
