Ingredients

3 ripe bananas
1 cup jaggery
1 cup coconut milk
2 tablespoons ghee
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
10 cashew nuts
10 raisins
1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Peel and mash the ripe bananas thoroughly in a bowl.
  2. 2 In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of ghee and roast the cashew nuts and raisins until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. 3 In the same pan, add the remaining ghee and the mashed bananas. Cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
  4. 4 Add the jaggery to the bananas and mix well until the jaggery melts completely and blends with the banana mixture.
  5. 5 Slowly pour in the coconut milk and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  6. 6 Add the cardamom powder and a pinch of salt, and continue to cook until the mixture thickens to a halwa consistency, approximately 10-15 minutes.
  7. 7 Garnish with the roasted cashew nuts and raisins before serving.

Tips

Use ripe bananas for the best sweetness and flavor.
