Ingredients
| 2 cups | whole wheat flour |
| 1 teaspoon | baking powder |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 1 cup | water |
| 2 tablespoons | oil |
Instructions
- 1 In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 2 Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, mixing continuously to form a soft dough.
- 3 Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
- 4 Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 5 Divide the dough into small, equal-sized portions and shape each into a ball.
- 6 Flatten each ball into a round disc about 1/2 inch thick using a rolling pin.
- 7 Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- 8 Place the flattened dough on the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- 9 Repeat the process with the remaining dough portions.
- 10 Serve the khambir warm with butter, jam, or traditional Ladakhi dishes.

Ensure the dough is not too sticky; adjust with flour or water as needed.
