Ingredients

1 medium kharbooja (muskmelon)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 cups cold water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon rose water
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
ice cubes

Instructions

  1. 1 Cut the muskmelon in half and remove the seeds.
  2. 2 Scoop out the muskmelon flesh and chop it into small pieces.
  3. 3 In a blender, add the muskmelon pieces, sugar, cold water, lemon juice, and rose water.
  4. 4 Blend until smooth and the sugar is completely dissolved.
  5. 5 Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any pulp.
  6. 6 Add cardamom powder to the strained liquid and mix well.
  7. 7 Pour the sharbat into glasses over ice cubes.
  8. 8 Serve immediately, garnished with a slice of muskmelon or mint leaves if desired.

Tips

Adjust the sugar according to the sweetness of the muskmelon.
