Ingredients
| 1 medium | kharbooja (muskmelon) |
| 4 tablespoons | sugar |
| 2 cups | cold water |
| 1 tablespoon | lemon juice |
| 1 teaspoon | rose water |
| 1/4 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| — | ice cubes |
Instructions
- 1 Cut the muskmelon in half and remove the seeds.
- 2 Scoop out the muskmelon flesh and chop it into small pieces.
- 3 In a blender, add the muskmelon pieces, sugar, cold water, lemon juice, and rose water.
- 4 Blend until smooth and the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 5 Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any pulp.
- 6 Add cardamom powder to the strained liquid and mix well.
- 7 Pour the sharbat into glasses over ice cubes.
- 8 Serve immediately, garnished with a slice of muskmelon or mint leaves if desired.
Tips
Adjust the sugar according to the sweetness of the muskmelon.
