Ingredients

5 green chilies
10 cloves garlic
1 inch ginger
1 tablespoon peanuts
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon oil
salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Roast the peanuts, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds in a pan until they are aromatic.
  2. 2 Allow the roasted ingredients to cool slightly.
  3. 3 In a mortar and pestle, crush the garlic and ginger into a coarse paste.
  4. 4 Add the roasted peanuts, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds to the mortar and continue to crush until you have a coarse mixture.
  5. 5 Add the green chilies to the mixture and crush them together with the other ingredients.
  6. 6 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  7. 7 Add the crushed mixture to the pan and sauté for a few minutes until the raw smell disappears.
  8. 8 Add salt to taste and mix well.
  9. 9 Remove from heat and let it cool before serving.

Tips

Adjust the number of green chilies according to your spice preference.
