Ingredients

1 liter colostrum milk
1 cup regular milk
3/4 cup jaggery
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
1 pinch saffron strands
1 tablespoon ghee
chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1 In a large mixing bowl, combine colostrum milk and regular milk.
  2. 2 Add jaggery to the milk mixture and stir until it dissolves completely.
  3. 3 Mix in cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, and saffron strands.
  4. 4 Grease a steaming container with ghee.
  5. 5 Pour the milk mixture into the prepared container.
  6. 6 Place the container in a steamer and steam for about 30-35 minutes or until the mixture sets.
  7. 7 Remove from the steamer and let it cool to room temperature.
  8. 8 Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  9. 9 Garnish with chopped nuts before serving, if desired.

Tips

Ensure the jaggery is fully dissolved to avoid lumps in the final dish.
