Ingredients

1 cup buckwheat flour
1 cup water
1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon butter or ghee

Instructions

  1. 1 In a mixing bowl, combine the buckwheat flour and a pinch of salt.
  2. 2 Gradually add water to the flour, stirring continuously to form a smooth batter.
  3. 3 Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or ghee.
  4. 4 Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a thin pancake.
  5. 5 Cook until the edges start to lift and the bottom is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6 Flip the pancake and cook the other side for another 2 minutes.
  7. 7 Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more butter or ghee as needed.

Tips

Serve the Khura warm with butter or honey for an authentic Ladakhi experience.
