Ingredients

Chicken 500 grams Chicken , cut into pieces
oil 2 tablespoons Oil
Mustard Seed 1 teaspoon Mustard Seed
Cumin 1 teaspoon Cumin , seeds
Onion 2 medium Onion , finely sliced
ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
red chili powder 2 teaspoons Red chili powder
turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
coriander powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
garam masala 1 teaspoon Garam masala
black pepper powder 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
lemon juice 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
to taste Salt To taste
Curry Leaf 2 sprigs Curry Leaf
Cilantro 2 tablespoons Cilantro , chopped

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. 2 Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, let them splutter.
  3. 3 Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  4. 4 Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
  5. 5 Add chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
  6. 6 Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  7. 7 Cover and cook on low heat until the chicken is cooked through.
  8. 8 Remove the lid, add garam masala, black pepper powder, and curry leaves.
  9. 9 Increase the heat and sauté until the chicken is dry and roasted.
  10. 10 Add lemon juice and mix well.
  11. 11 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.

Tips

For a richer taste, marinate the chicken with spices for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
