Ingredients

Prawn 250 grams Prawn , cleaned and deveined
oil 2 tablespoons Oil
Coconut 1 cup Coconut , grated
Onion 1 medium Onion , finely chopped
Tomato 1 medium Tomato , finely chopped
Malvani masala 2 tablespoons Malvani masala
turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
red chili powder 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
salt Salt , to taste
Tamarind 1 tablespoon Tamarind , pulp
Cilantro 1 tablespoon Cilantro , chopped

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. 2 Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. 3 Add the chopped tomato and cook until it becomes soft.
  4. 4 Add Malvani masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  5. 5 Add the prawns and stir well to coat them with the spices.
  6. 6 Cook the prawns for about 5-7 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  7. 7 Add the grated coconut and tamarind pulp, mix well.
  8. 8 Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
  9. 9 Garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.

Tips

For a richer flavor, you can roast the coconut slightly before adding it to the dish.
