Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup puffed rice
1/2 cup jaggery
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons ghee
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
2 tablespoons grated coconut
2 tablespoons chopped cashew nuts
2 tablespoons raisins
pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat ghee in a pan and roast the cashew nuts and raisins until golden. Remove and set aside.
  2. 2 In the same pan, add water and jaggery. Cook on low heat until the jaggery dissolves completely.
  3. 3 Add cardamom powder and a pinch of salt to the jaggery syrup and mix well.
  4. 4 Add the puffed rice to the jaggery syrup and mix quickly to coat the puffed rice evenly.
  5. 5 Stir in the roasted cashew nuts, raisins, and grated coconut.
  6. 6 Mix everything thoroughly and remove from heat.
  7. 7 Allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Tips

Ensure the jaggery syrup is not too thick, as it should coat the puffed rice lightly.
