Ingredients
| 1 cup | puffed rice |
| 1/2 cup | jaggery |
| 1/4 cup | water |
| 2 tablespoons | ghee |
| 1 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| 2 tablespoons | grated coconut |
| 2 tablespoons | chopped cashew nuts |
| 2 tablespoons | raisins |
| — | pinch of salt |
Instructions
- 1 Heat ghee in a pan and roast the cashew nuts and raisins until golden. Remove and set aside.
- 2 In the same pan, add water and jaggery. Cook on low heat until the jaggery dissolves completely.
- 3 Add cardamom powder and a pinch of salt to the jaggery syrup and mix well.
- 4 Add the puffed rice to the jaggery syrup and mix quickly to coat the puffed rice evenly.
- 5 Stir in the roasted cashew nuts, raisins, and grated coconut.
- 6 Mix everything thoroughly and remove from heat.
- 7 Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
Tips
Ensure the jaggery syrup is not too thick, as it should coat the puffed rice lightly.
