Cumin 1 teaspoon Cumin , seeds
Onion 1 Onion , finely chopped
Chili 1 Chili , green, finely chopped
Tomato 1 Tomato , finely chopped
Carrot 1 Carrot , grated
Green Pea 1/4 cup Green Pea
turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chili powder
garam masala 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala
salt 1/2 teaspoon Salt
Cilantro 2 tablespoons Cilantro , chopped
Lemon 1 Lemon , juiced

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. 2 Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, allowing them to splutter.
  3. 3 Add the chopped onion and green chili, sauté until the onion turns translucent.
  4. 4 Add the chopped tomato and cook until soft.
  5. 5 Stir in the grated carrot and green peas, cooking for 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6 Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt, mixing well.
  7. 7 Add the idiyappam to the pan, gently breaking it apart and mixing with the vegetables.
  8. 8 Cook for another 3-4 minutes, ensuring the idiyappam is well coated with the spices.
  9. 9 Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
