Ingredients
| 1 cup | rice flour |
| 1 cup | sugar |
| 1/4 cup | ghee |
| 2 cups | water |
| 1/2 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| 1/4 cup | cashew nuts |
| 1/4 cup | raisins |
| 1 pinch | salt |
| 1 teaspoon | vanilla essence |
| 1 tablespoon | coconut oil |
Instructions
- 1 In a bowl, mix rice flour with water to form a smooth batter without lumps.
- 2 In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the ghee and coconut oil together.
- 3 Add cashew nuts and raisins to the pan, fry until golden, and set aside.
- 4 To the same pan, add the rice flour batter and stir continuously on low heat.
- 5 Gradually add sugar while stirring to ensure it dissolves completely.
- 6 Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
- 7 Add cardamom powder, vanilla essence, and a pinch of salt, mixing well.
- 8 Stir in the fried cashew nuts and raisins.
- 9 Cook until the halwa reaches a glossy consistency and starts to leave the pan.
- 10 Transfer the halwa into a greased plate or tray, flatten it with a spatula, and let it cool.
- 11 Once set, cut into pieces and serve.
Tips
For a richer flavor, you can add a few drops of rose water or saffron strands soaked in warm milk.
