Ingredients
| 1 cup | rice flour |
| 1/2 cup | jaggery |
| 1/4 cup | grated coconut |
| 1 tablespoon | ghee |
| 1/2 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| 1 pinch | salt |
| — | water as needed |
Instructions
- 1 In a pan, melt the jaggery with a little water to make a syrup. Strain to remove impurities and set aside.
- 2 In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, grated coconut, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt.
- 3 Add the jaggery syrup to the rice flour mixture and mix well to form a smooth dough. Add water if necessary.
- 4 Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into small, flat discs.
- 5 Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.
- 6 Fry the discs in the ghee until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- 7 Remove from the pan and drain excess ghee on paper towels.
Tips
Ensure the jaggery syrup is not too watery to prevent the dough from becoming too sticky.
