Ingredients
| 1 cup | plain yogurt |
| 1 medium | cucumber |
| 1 medium | tomato |
| 1 small | onion |
| 1 tablespoon | fresh mint leaves |
| 1 tablespoon | fresh coriander leaves |
| 1 teaspoon | roasted cumin powder |
| 0.5 teaspoon | black salt |
| 0.5 teaspoon | red chili powder |
| — | salt to taste |
Instructions
- 1 Peel and finely chop the cucumber.
- 2 Finely chop the tomato and onion.
- 3 Chop the fresh mint leaves and coriander leaves.
- 4 In a mixing bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth.
- 5 Add the chopped cucumber, tomato, and onion to the yogurt.
- 6 Mix in the chopped mint and coriander leaves.
- 7 Add roasted cumin powder, black salt, red chili powder, and salt to taste.
- 8 Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- 9 Chill the raita in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Tips
For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of chaat masala to the raita.
