Ingredients
| 200 grams | dried beef |
| 1 tablespoon | oil |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 1 teaspoon | red chili powder |
| 1 teaspoon | turmeric powder |
| 1 teaspoon | ginger-garlic paste |
| 1 medium | onion, finely chopped |
| 2 cups | water |
| 1 teaspoon | bamboo shoot (optional) |
| — | fresh coriander leaves for garnish |
Instructions
- 1 Cut the dried beef into small pieces.
- 2 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 3 Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- 4 Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute.
- 5 Add the dried beef pieces to the pan and stir well.
- 6 Add salt, red chili powder, and turmeric powder, and mix thoroughly.
- 7 Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
- 8 Reduce heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 30 minutes or until the beef is tender.
- 9 If using, add bamboo shoot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- 10 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
Tips
For a more authentic taste, use smoked dried beef if available.
