1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cumin seeds

Instructions

  1. 1 Peel and mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. 2 Add sugar, yogurt, ghee, and salt to the mashed bananas and mix well.

  5. 5 Add cumin seeds and knead the dough lightly until all ingredients are well combined.
  6. 6 Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 6-8 hours or overnight.
  7. 7 After resting, divide the dough into small balls.
  8. 8 Roll each ball into a small, thick disc using a rolling pin.
  9. 9 Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  10. 10 Once the oil is hot, gently slide in the rolled dough discs and fry until golden brown on both sides.

  12. 12 Serve the Mangalore buns warm with coconut chutney or sambar.
