Ingredients
| 3 ears | fresh maize |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 4 cups | water |
Instructions
- 1 Remove the husks and silk from the maize ears.
- 2 Rinse the maize under running water to clean them thoroughly.
- 3 In a large pot, add the water and bring it to a boil.
- 4 Add the maize ears to the boiling water.
- 5 Add salt to the pot.
- 6 Cover the pot and let the maize boil for about 20-25 minutes until tender.
- 7 Once cooked, remove the maize from the pot and let it cool slightly before serving.
Tips
For enhanced flavor, you can add a few bay leaves or a pinch of turmeric to the boiling water.
