Ingredients

1 cup nannari root
2 cups sugar
1 liter water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
ice cubes
mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1 Clean the nannari root thoroughly and crush it slightly.
  2. 2 In a pot, add the crushed nannari root and 1 liter of water.
  3. 3 Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
  4. 4 Strain the liquid to remove the nannari root pieces.
  5. 5 Add sugar to the strained liquid and stir until it dissolves completely.
  6. 6 Let the syrup cool down to room temperature.
  7. 7 To serve, mix 2-3 tablespoons of the nannari syrup with a glass of cold water.
  8. 8 Add a teaspoon of lemon juice and stir well.
  9. 9 Serve with ice cubes and garnish with mint leaves.

Tips

Store the nannari syrup in a refrigerator for up to a month. Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of syrup added to the water.
