Ingredients

Mutton 250 grams Mutton , minced
Gram Flour 2 tablespoons Gram Flour
Egg 1 Egg , hard-boiled
ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
red chili powder 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
garam masala 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala
Cumin 1/2 teaspoon Cumin , powder
coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder
salt to taste Salt
oil 2 tablespoons Oil
Onion 1 Onion , finely chopped
Tomato 1 cup Tomato , puree
turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
Fennel Seed 1/2 teaspoon Fennel Seed
Yogurt 1/2 cup Yogurt
Cream 1 tablespoon Cream , fresh
Cilantro 1 tablespoon Cilantro , fresh, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1 In a bowl, mix minced mutton, gram flour, egg, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Knead into a smooth mixture.
  2. 2 Divide the mixture into two portions. Flatten each portion and wrap it around a hard-boiled egg, ensuring it's evenly coated.
  3. 3 Heat oil in a pan and fry the koftas on medium heat until they are golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. 4 In the same pan, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  5. 5 Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, fennel seeds, and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  6. 6 Whisk yogurt and add it to the pan. Cook for another 5 minutes on low heat.
  7. 7 Add the fried koftas to the gravy and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. 8 Finish with fresh cream and garnish with chopped coriander before serving.

Tips

For a richer flavor, marinate the mutton mixture for an hour before cooking.
