Ingredients

Poha 1 cup Poha , flattened rice
Coconut 1/4 cup Coconut , grated
jaggery 2 tablespoons Jaggery
Milk 2 tablespoons Milk , full-fat
cardamom 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom , powder
ghee 1 tablespoon Ghee
Raisin 1 tablespoon Raisin
Cashew 1 tablespoon Cashew , nuts
salt Salt , to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Wash the flattened rice thoroughly under running water and drain well.
  2. 2 In a bowl, mix the washed flattened rice with grated coconut, jaggery, milk, and cardamom powder. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. 3 In a small pan, heat ghee over medium heat.
  4. 4 Add cashew nuts and raisins to the ghee and fry until the cashew nuts are golden brown and the raisins have puffed up.
  5. 5 Mix the fried cashew nuts and raisins into the flattened rice mixture.
  6. 6 Add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness and mix everything well.
  7. 7 Serve the Narikolor Sira at room temperature as a sweet snack or dessert.

Adjust the amount of jaggery according to your sweetness preference.
