Ingredients
| 1 cup | flattened rice (poha) |
| 1/4 cup | grated coconut |
| 2 tablespoons | jaggery |
| 2 tablespoons | milk |
| 1/4 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| 1 tablespoon | ghee |
| 1 tablespoon | raisins |
| 1 tablespoon | cashew nuts |
| — | salt to taste |
Instructions
- 1 Wash the flattened rice thoroughly under running water and drain well.
- 2 In a bowl, mix the washed flattened rice with grated coconut, jaggery, milk, and cardamom powder. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 3 In a small pan, heat ghee over medium heat.
- 4 Add cashew nuts and raisins to the ghee and fry until the cashew nuts are golden brown and the raisins have puffed up.
- 5 Mix the fried cashew nuts and raisins into the flattened rice mixture.
- 6 Add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness and mix everything well.
- 7 Serve the Narikolor Sira at room temperature as a sweet snack or dessert.
