Ingredients
| 2 cups | grated coconut |
| 1 cup | jaggery |
| 1 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| — | ghee for greasing |
Instructions
- 1 Heat a pan on medium flame and add the grated coconut.
- 2 Stir the coconut for about 2-3 minutes until it becomes slightly dry.
- 3 Add the jaggery to the pan and mix well with the coconut.
- 4 Cook the mixture on low flame, stirring continuously until it thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
- 5 Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
- 6 Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- 7 Grease your palms with a little ghee and take small portions of the mixture.
- 8 Shape them into small round balls (narus) while the mixture is still warm.
- 9 Allow the narkel narus to cool completely before serving.
Tips
Use fresh coconut for the best taste. Adjust the amount of jaggery according to your sweetness preference.
