Ingredients

1 cup raw rice
1/2 cup grated coconut
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 cup water
salt to taste
oil for frying

Instructions

  1. 1 Wash and soak the raw rice for 4-5 hours.
  2. 2 Drain the soaked rice and grind it with grated coconut, fennel seeds, and salt, adding water gradually to form a smooth dough.
  3. 3 Divide the dough into small balls.
  4. 4 Flatten each ball into a thin disc using your palms or a rolling pin.
  5. 5 Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  6. 6 Fry the flattened discs in hot oil until they puff up and turn golden brown on both sides.
  7. 7 Remove from oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy texture.
