| 2 tablespoons | fresh lime juice |
| 2 tablespoons | sugar |
| 1 cup | warm water |
| 1 clove | garlic, minced |
| 1 small | red chili, finely sliced |

Instructions
- 1 In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar in the warm water.
- 2 Add the fish sauce and lime juice to the sugar water, stirring well to combine.
- 3 Mix in the minced garlic and sliced chili.
- 4 Taste the sauce and adjust the flavors if necessary, adding more lime juice, sugar, or fish sauce to suit your preference.
- 5 Optionally, add shredded carrot for garnish and extra texture.
Tips
For a milder sauce, remove the seeds from the chili before slicing.
