Instructions
- 1 Peel the onion and slice it into 1/4-inch thick rings.
- 2 Separate the rings and set aside.
- 3 In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- 4 Dip each onion ring into the buttermilk, then dredge it in the flour mixture.
- 5 Coat the rings in breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- 6 Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
- 7 Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- 8 Remove the onion rings and drain on paper towels.
- 9 Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Tips
