Ingredients
| 1 cup | plain yogurt |
| 2 | paan leaves |
| 1 tablespoon | sugar |
| 1 teaspoon | fennel seeds |
| 1 teaspoon | gulkand (rose petal preserve) |
| 1/4 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| 1/4 teaspoon | salt |
| 2 tablespoons | pomegranate seeds |
| 1 tablespoon | chopped mint leaves |
Instructions
- 1 Wash the paan leaves thoroughly and pat them dry.
- 2 Finely chop the paan leaves and set aside.
- 3 In a mixing bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth.
- 4 Add sugar, fennel seeds, gulkand, cardamom powder, and salt to the yogurt and mix well.
- 5 Stir in the chopped paan leaves and mix until well combined.
- 6 Garnish the raita with pomegranate seeds and chopped mint leaves.
- 7 Chill the paan raita in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Tips
For a more intense paan flavor, you can add a few drops of paan essence.
