Ingredients

1 cup barley flour
1 cup water
1 tablespoon butter
salt to taste
vegetable oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. 1 In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil and add salt to taste.
  2. 2 Gradually add the barley flour to the boiling water, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  3. 3 Reduce the heat to low and continue stirring until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
  4. 4 Add the butter and mix well until it is fully incorporated.
  5. 5 Grease a plate or a shallow dish with vegetable oil.
  6. 6 Transfer the thickened mixture onto the greased plate and spread it evenly.
  7. 7 Let it cool slightly, then cut into pieces and serve warm.

Serve Paba with a side of vegetables or curry for a complete meal.
