Ingredients
| 1 cup | barley flour |
| 1 cup | water |
| 1 tablespoon | butter |
| — | salt to taste |
| — | vegetable oil for greasing |
Instructions
- 1 In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil and add salt to taste.
- 2 Gradually add the barley flour to the boiling water, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- 3 Reduce the heat to low and continue stirring until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
- 4 Add the butter and mix well until it is fully incorporated.
- 5 Grease a plate or a shallow dish with vegetable oil.
- 6 Transfer the thickened mixture onto the greased plate and spread it evenly.
- 7 Let it cool slightly, then cut into pieces and serve warm.
Tips
Serve Paba with a side of vegetables or curry for a complete meal.
