Ingredients

1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons ghee
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
1 teaspoon grated coconut
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoon chopped almonds
1 tablespoon chopped cashews
1 tablespoon raisins
1 pinch saffron strands
salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt and milk. Whisk until smooth.
  2. 2 Add ghee, sugar, honey, poppy seeds, and grated coconut to the yogurt-milk mixture. Mix well.
  3. 3 Stir in cardamom powder, chopped almonds, chopped cashews, raisins, and saffron strands.
  4. 4 Add salt to taste and mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
  5. 5 Let the Panchamrut sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  6. 6 Serve at room temperature or chilled as a side dish or offering.

Tips

For a richer taste, you can lightly toast the nuts and coconut before adding them to the mixture.
