Ingredients

200 grams paneer, cubed
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup tomato puree
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
salt to taste
1/2 cup fresh cream
1 tablespoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. 2 Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. 3 Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute.
  4. 4 Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
  5. 5 Mix in coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  6. 6 Cook the spices for a couple of minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. 7 Add the paneer cubes and gently mix to coat them with the masala.
  8. 8 Pour in the fresh cream and simmer for 5 minutes.
  9. 9 Sprinkle garam masala and kasuri methi over the dish, then stir well.
  10. 10 Add the remaining butter and let it melt into the sauce.
  11. 11 Garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.

Tips

For a richer taste, you can add a pinch of sugar to balance the flavors.
