Ingredients
| 1 cup | cooked rice |
| 3 cups | water |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
Instructions
- 1 Wash the cooked rice under running water to remove excess starch.
- 2 Place the washed rice in a bowl and add 1 cup of water to it.
- 3 Cover the bowl and let the rice soak overnight or for at least 6-8 hours.
- 4 Before serving, finely chop the onion and green chilies.
- 5 Drain any excess water from the soaked rice.
- 6 Add the chopped onion, green chilies, mustard oil, and salt to taste to the soaked rice.
- 7 Mix well and serve as a refreshing dish.
Tips
For a more traditional touch, serve with fried fish or mashed potatoes.
