Ingredients
| 1 cup | barley flour |
| 2 cups | water |
| 1 pinch | salt |
| 1 tablespoon | butter |
Instructions
- 1 In a pot, bring the water to a boil.
- 2 Add a pinch of salt to the boiling water.
- 3 Gradually add the barley flour to the boiling water, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- 4 Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5 Once the mixture thickens and becomes smooth, remove it from the heat.
- 6 Stir in the butter until it is fully melted and incorporated.
- 7 Serve hot as a side dish or a main dish.
Tips
For a richer taste, you can substitute butter with ghee.
