Ingredients
| 3 | ripe bananas (preferably pisang raja or cavendish) |
| 1 cup | all-purpose flour |
| 2 tablespoons | rice flour |
| 1 tablespoon | granulated sugar |
| 1 teaspoon | baking powder |
| 1/4 teaspoon | salt |
| 3/4 cup | water |
| 1 teaspoon | vanilla extract |
| — | vegetable oil for frying |
Instructions
- 1 Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise.
- 2 In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rice flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- 3 Gradually add the water to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
- 4 Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 5 Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- 6 Dip each banana piece into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
- 7 Carefully place the coated bananas into the hot oil.
- 8 Fry the bananas until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 9 Remove the bananas from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- 10 Serve the pisang goreng warm.
Tips
For an extra crispy texture, add a little more rice flour to the batter.
