Ingredients
| 2 cups | water |
| 2 tablespoons | butter |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 1 cup | yak milk or whole milk |
| 2 tablespoons | black tea leaves |
Instructions
- 1 In a pot, bring water to a boil.
- 2 Add the black tea leaves and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- 3 Strain the tea leaves and return the tea to the pot.
- 4 Add the yak milk or whole milk to the tea.
- 5 Add the butter and salt to the mixture.
- 6 Bring the mixture to a boil and add a pinch of baking soda.
- 7 Stir continuously for 5-7 minutes until the butter melts and the mixture is well combined.
- 8 Pour the Po Cha into cups and serve hot.
Tips
For an authentic taste, use yak butter if available.
