Ingredients

1 cup ripe jackfruit pods
1 cup grated coconut
1 cup jaggery
1 cup semolina
1 cup rice flour
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 pinch salt
as needed water
for deep frying coconut oil

Instructions

  1. 1 Remove seeds from the jackfruit pods and finely chop the pods.
  2. 2 In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped jackfruit, grated coconut, and jaggery.
  3. 3 Add semolina, rice flour, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt to the mixture.
  4. 4 Mix all ingredients thoroughly, adding water gradually to form a thick batter.
  5. 5 Heat coconut oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  6. 6 Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil.
  7. 7 Fry the mulik until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. 8 Remove from oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  9. 9 Serve warm as a snack or dessert.
