Ingredients

200 grams | Paneer , cubed |

2 tablespoons | Mustard oil |

1 teaspoon | Panch Phoron |
|
1 cup | Onion , finely chopped |
|
1 teaspoon | Ginger-garlic paste |
|
2 cups | Tomato , pureed |
|
1 teaspoon | Turmeric powder |
|
1 teaspoon | Red chili powder |
|
1 teaspoon | Coriander powder |
|
1 teaspoon | Cumin , powder |
|
0.5 teaspoon | Garam masala |
|
— | Salt , to taste |

1 cup | Water |

2 tablespoons | Cilantro , chopped |
Instructions
- 1 Cut the paneer into cubes and set aside.
- 2 Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 3 Add panch phoron and let it splutter.
- 4 Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- 5 Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another 2 minutes.
- 6 Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
- 7 Mix in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder.
- 8 Season with salt and cook the masala for a few more minutes.
- 9 Add the paneer cubes and mix well to coat them with the masala.
- 10 Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- 11 Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until the gravy thickens.
- 12 Sprinkle garam masala and stir well.
- 13 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
Tips
For a richer taste, you can fry the paneer cubes lightly before adding them to the gravy.
