1/2 pound | Pork , ground |
1 cup | Napa Cabbage , finely chopped |
2 tablespoons | Soy sauce |
1 tablespoon | Sesame oil |
1 tablespoon | Ginger , minced |
2 cloves | Garlic , minced |
1 | Egg , beaten |
1 teaspoon | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | White Pepper , powder |
24 | Dumpling Wrapper , round |
2 tablespoons | Vegetable oil |
1/4 cup | Water |
Instructions
- 1 In a large bowl, mix the ground pork, napa cabbage, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, beaten egg, salt, and white pepper until well combined.
- 2 Place a dumpling wrapper on a flat surface and add about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center.
- 3 Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pleat the edges to seal the dumpling.
- 4 Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- 5 Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- 6 Arrange half of the potstickers in the skillet, flat side down, and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- 7 Add 1/8 cup of water to the skillet, cover, and steam the potstickers for 5-6 minutes until the water has evaporated.
- 8 Uncover and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to re-crisp the bottoms.
- 9 Remove the potstickers and repeat with the remaining batch using the rest of the oil and water.
- 10 Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
Tips
Ensure the edges of the dumplings are sealed properly to prevent the filling from leaking during cooking.
