Ingredients
| 1 cup | sticky rice |
| 3 cups | water |
| 1 | banana leaf |

Instructions
- 1 Wash the sticky rice thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear.
- 2 Soak the rice in water for at least 4-5 hours or overnight for best results.
- 3 Drain the soaked rice and mix it with a pinch of salt.
- 4 Cut the banana leaf into large squares, about 10x10 inches each.
- 5 Place a portion of the soaked rice onto the center of each banana leaf square.
- 6 Fold the banana leaf over the rice to form a neat parcel, securing the edges by folding them tightly.
- 7 Arrange the parcels in a steamer basket.
- 8 Steam the parcels over boiling water for about 30-40 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and sticky.
- 9 Remove the parcels from the steamer and let them cool slightly before serving.
Tips
Ensure the banana leaf parcels are tightly wrapped to prevent steam from escaping.
