Ingredients
| 3 cups | water |
| 2 tablespoons | lightly roasted Arabic coffee |
| 1 tablespoon | ground cardamom |
| 2 | cloves |
| 1 | cinnamon stick |
| 1 | saffron strands |
| 1 tablespoon | rose water |
| — | sugar to taste |
| — | dates for serving |
Instructions
- 1 Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
- 2 Add the lightly roasted Arabic coffee to the boiling water.
- 3 Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 4 Add the ground cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon stick to the coffee mixture.
- 5 Simmer for another 5 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- 6 Remove from heat and strain the coffee into a serving pot.
- 7 Add saffron strands and rose water to the strained coffee and stir well.
- 8 Sweeten with sugar to taste, if desired.
- 9 Serve hot with dates on the side.
Tips
For a more authentic taste, use freshly ground cardamom and adjust the sweetness according to your preference.
