Ingredients

3 cups water
2 tablespoons lightly roasted Arabic coffee
1 tablespoon ground cardamom
2 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 saffron strands
1 tablespoon rose water
sugar to taste
dates for serving

Instructions

  1. 1 Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. 2 Add the lightly roasted Arabic coffee to the boiling water.
  3. 3 Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. 4 Add the ground cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon stick to the coffee mixture.
  5. 5 Simmer for another 5 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  6. 6 Remove from heat and strain the coffee into a serving pot.
  7. 7 Add saffron strands and rose water to the strained coffee and stir well.
  8. 8 Sweeten with sugar to taste, if desired.
  9. 9 Serve hot with dates on the side.

Tips

For a more authentic taste, use freshly ground cardamom and adjust the sweetness according to your preference.
