Ingredients

1 cup ragi flour
1 cup water
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small green chili, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
salt to taste
1 tablespoon oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. 1 In a mixing bowl, combine ragi flour, chopped onion, green chili, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, and salt.
  2. 2 Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring continuously to form a smooth, thick batter.
  3. 3 Heat a non-stick pan or tawa over medium heat and add a few drops of oil.
  4. 4 Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a thin circle.
  5. 5 Cook on medium heat until the edges start to lift and the bottom is cooked, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6 Flip the roti and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked.
  7. 7 Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding oil as needed.
  8. 8 Serve hot with chutney or curry of your choice.

Ensure the batter is smooth and lump-free for evenly cooked rotis.
