Prep: 20 min Cook: 10 min Total: 30 min 2-3 servings

Ingredients

250 grams medium-sized prawns, cleaned and deveined
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
salt to taste
1 cup semolina (rawa)
oil for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. 1 In a bowl, marinate the prawns with turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. 2 Spread the semolina on a plate.
  3. 3 Coat each marinated prawn evenly with semolina, pressing lightly so it sticks well.
  4. 4 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. 5 Once the oil is hot, place the prawns in the pan and shallow fry them until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. 6 Remove the prawns from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  7. 7 Serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.

Tips

Ensure the oil is hot enough before adding the prawns to prevent them from becoming soggy.
