Ingredients
| 250 grams | medium-sized prawns, cleaned and deveined |
| 1 teaspoon | turmeric powder |
| 1 teaspoon | red chili powder |
| 1 teaspoon | ginger-garlic paste |
| 1 tablespoon | lemon juice |
| — | salt to taste |
| 1 cup | semolina (rawa) |
| — | oil for shallow frying |
Instructions
- 1 In a bowl, marinate the prawns with turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- 2 Spread the semolina on a plate.
- 3 Coat each marinated prawn evenly with semolina, pressing lightly so it sticks well.
- 4 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 5 Once the oil is hot, place the prawns in the pan and shallow fry them until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 6 Remove the prawns from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 7 Serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.
Tips
Ensure the oil is hot enough before adding the prawns to prevent them from becoming soggy.
