Ingredients

Paneer 200 grams Paneer , cubed
vegetable oil 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
Cumin 1 teaspoon Cumin , seeds
Onion 1 large Onion , finely chopped
Garlic 2 cloves Garlic , minced
Ginger 1 inch Ginger , grated
Tomato 2 medium Tomato , pureed
turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
red chili powder 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
coriander powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
water 1 cup Water
salt Salt , to taste
sugar 1 tablespoon Sugar
vinegar 2 tablespoons Vinegar
Cilantro 1 tablespoon Cilantro , chopped, fresh

Instructions

  1. 1 Cut the paneer into cubes and set aside.
  2. 2 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds.
  3. 3 Once the cumin seeds splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. 4 Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for another minute.
  5. 5 Stir in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
  6. 6 Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
  7. 7 Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  8. 8 Add salt, sugar, and vinegar to the sauce, stirring to combine.
  9. 9 Gently add the paneer cubes into the sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  10. 10 Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves before serving.

Tips

For a richer flavor, you can lightly fry the paneer cubes before adding them to the sauce.
