2 tablespoons | Vegetable oil |

1 teaspoon | Cumin , seeds |
|
1 large | Onion , finely chopped |
|
2 cloves | Garlic , minced |
|
1 inch | Ginger , grated |
|
2 medium | Tomato , pureed |
|
1 teaspoon | Turmeric powder |
|
1 teaspoon | Red chili powder |
|
1 teaspoon | Coriander powder |
|
1 cup | Water |
|
— | Salt , to taste |

1 tablespoon | Sugar |

2 tablespoons | Vinegar |

1 tablespoon | Cilantro , chopped, fresh |
Instructions
- 1 Cut the paneer into cubes and set aside.
- 2 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds.
- 3 Once the cumin seeds splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- 4 Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for another minute.
- 5 Stir in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
- 6 Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
- 7 Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- 8 Add salt, sugar, and vinegar to the sauce, stirring to combine.
- 9 Gently add the paneer cubes into the sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- 10 Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves before serving.
Tips
For a richer flavor, you can lightly fry the paneer cubes before adding them to the sauce.
