Ingredients
| 1 cup | all-purpose flour |
| 1/4 teaspoon | salt |
| 2 tablespoons | vegetable oil |
| 1/4 cup | water |
| 200 grams | ground beef |
| 1 small | onion, finely chopped |
| 1 clove | garlic, minced |
| 1/2 teaspoon | ground cumin |
| 1/2 teaspoon | ground coriander |
| 1/4 teaspoon | turmeric powder |
| 1/4 teaspoon | black pepper |
Instructions
- 1 In a bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the vegetable oil and mix until crumbly.
- 2 Gradually add water and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 3 In a pan, heat a tablespoon of oil and sauté the onions until translucent.
- 4 Add the garlic and sauté for another minute.
- 5 Add the ground beef, cumin, coriander, turmeric, black pepper, and salt. Cook until the beef is browned.
- 6 Stir in the fresh coriander and remove from heat. Let it cool slightly.
- 7 Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into thin circles.
- 8 Place a spoonful of the beef mixture on one half of each circle. Fold over and seal the edges with a little water.
- 9 Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the samboosas until golden brown and crispy.
- 10 Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Tips
Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy texture.
