Ingredients

1 cup glutinous rice flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup red bean paste
1/2 cup sesame seeds
vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. 1 In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour and sugar.
  2. 2 Gradually add water to the flour mixture, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
  3. 3 Divide the dough into small, equal pieces and flatten each piece into a disc.
  4. 4 Place a small spoonful of red bean paste in the center of each disc.
  5. 5 Carefully wrap the dough around the filling, sealing it completely, and roll into a ball.
  6. 6 Spread the sesame seeds on a plate and roll each ball in the seeds to coat evenly.
  7. 7 Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  8. 8 Fry the sesame balls in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  9. 9 Remove the sesame balls with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Tips

Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to prevent the sesame balls from absorbing too much oil.
