Ingredients

Chicken Thigh 1 pound Chicken Thigh , boneless, skinless
soy sauce 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
rice vinegar 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
sesame oil 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
cornstarch 1 cup Cornstarch
Flour 1 cup Flour
baking powder 1 teaspoon Baking powder
Egg 1 Egg
water 1/2 cup Water
vegetable oil 1 cup Vegetable oil , for frying
honey 1/4 cup Honey
Ketchup 2 tablespoons Ketchup , to taste
sugar 1 tablespoon Sugar , brown
Sesame Seed 2 tablespoons Sesame Seed
Green Onion Green Onion , chopped for garnish
salt Salt , to taste
Pepper Pepper , to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2 In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken pieces and marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. 3 In another bowl, combine cornstarch, flour, and baking powder.
  4. 4 In a separate bowl, beat the egg and mix with water.
  5. 5 Dip the marinated chicken pieces into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
  6. 6 Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  7. 7 Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  8. 8 In a small saucepan, combine honey, ketchup, and brown sugar. Heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves and the sauce is smooth.
  9. 9 Toss the fried chicken pieces in the sauce until well coated.
  10. 10 Sprinkle sesame seeds over the chicken and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Tips

For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
