Ingredients

500 grams chicken breast, cut into cubes
1/2 cup plain yogurt
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon tomato paste
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. 1 In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, tomato paste, paprika, cumin, coriander, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. 2 Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix well to coat all pieces evenly.
  3. 3 Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  4. 4 Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent them from burning during grilling.
  5. 5 Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  6. 6 Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked skewers.
  7. 7 Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  8. 8 Serve hot with pita bread, garlic sauce, and a side of salad.

Tips

For a more authentic taste, grill the skewers over charcoal.
