1 cup | Turkey Berry , sundried |

1 tablespoon | Tamarind paste |

1 teaspoon | Mustard Seed |
|
1 teaspoon | Cumin , seeds |

1 tablespoon | Oil |
|
1 pinch | Asafoetida |
|
1 teaspoon | Turmeric powder |
|
1 teaspoon | Red chili powder |
|
1 cup | Water |
|
to taste | Salt |
|
2 tablespoons | Jaggery |
|
1 tablespoon | Cilantro , freshly chopped |
Instructions
- 1 Wash the sundakai thoroughly and crush them slightly to remove seeds.
- 2 Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
- 3 Add cumin seeds and asafoetida, and sauté for a few seconds.
- 4 Add the crushed sundakai and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- 5 Mix in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- 6 Add tamarind paste and water, and bring the mixture to a boil.
- 7 Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 8 Add jaggery and stir until it dissolves completely.
- 9 Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves before serving.
Tips
Adjust the amount of jaggery and tamarind to balance the sour and sweet flavors according to your taste.
