Ingredients

2 cups water
2 tablespoons Thai tea leaves
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
ice cubes

Instructions

  1. 1 Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. 2 Add the Thai tea leaves to the boiling water and remove from heat.
  3. 3 Let the tea steep for 5 minutes.
  4. 4 Strain the tea into a heatproof container to remove the leaves.
  5. 5 Stir in the sugar while the tea is still hot until fully dissolved.
  6. 6 Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  7. 7 Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  8. 8 Pour the chilled tea over the ice, filling each glass about three-quarters full.
  9. 9 In a small bowl, mix the evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk together.
  10. 10 Slowly pour the milk mixture over the tea in each glass, allowing it to swirl naturally.
  11. 11 Stir gently before serving.

Tips

For a richer flavor, adjust the amount of sweetened condensed milk to taste.
