Ingredients
| 2 cups | water |
| 2 tablespoons | Thai tea leaves |
| 2 tablespoons | sugar |
| 1/2 cup | evaporated milk |
| 1/4 cup | sweetened condensed milk |
| — | ice cubes |
Instructions
- 1 Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
- 2 Add the Thai tea leaves to the boiling water and remove from heat.
- 3 Let the tea steep for 5 minutes.
- 4 Strain the tea into a heatproof container to remove the leaves.
- 5 Stir in the sugar while the tea is still hot until fully dissolved.
- 6 Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
- 7 Fill glasses with ice cubes.
- 8 Pour the chilled tea over the ice, filling each glass about three-quarters full.
- 9 In a small bowl, mix the evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk together.
- 10 Slowly pour the milk mixture over the tea in each glass, allowing it to swirl naturally.
- 11 Stir gently before serving.
Tips
For a richer flavor, adjust the amount of sweetened condensed milk to taste.
